ABOUT THE SPEAKERS:
Mahesh Khaitan (Director, Salarpuria Sattva Group): He has been at the helm of strategic planning and key implementation of projects since the Group’s inception. Under his able stewardship, the group established itself as a leading player in Real Estate, achieving more than 85 million sq ft., in 6 cities across the country.

R. K. Misra (Nonresident Scholar, Carnegie India): Based in Bengaluru, he drives Carnegie India’s Technology and Society program, and engages with technology innovators and policymakers. His research focuses on the use of technology for urban planning and transportation, sustainable living, and the future of smart cities. He also plays a pivotal role in organizing Carnegie India’s annual Global Technology Summit.
Misra is a graduate from IIT Kanpur and a postgraduate from Tokyo University. He is a fellow of Leaders in Development program at Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government and a global leadership fellow at the Aspen Institute.
Misra is the founding director at the Center for SMART Cities, a knowledge bank and repository of best practices in the areas of technology driven planning and management of Smart Cities. In 2006, he founded SAHYOG—Indian Council for Public Private Partnership, a pilot to policy social initiative to provide “Livelihood Opportunities for Rural Poor.”
Misra believes in building a corruption free and transparent political system. Hence he started his political movement ‘Nav-Bharat’ to encourage the youth to get into politics and reform the current political system. The movement has now taken the shape of Nav Bharat Democratic Party.
Gururaj Raghavendra (Senior Director of Bangalore, Space Matrix): Speed and technology are two of the important things that motivate and drive Gururaj Raghavendra in his life. He chose his career because he liked the idea of “speed to reality” in the design and implementation process, and is excited by the “energy and speed” in his field of work as Senior Director of Bangalore in Space Matrix. This passion has led Gururaj to be recognised as a thought leader with unparalleled knowledge of and innovative ideas in workplace design and execution.
Gururaj Raghavendra has strong technical and design capabilities, the result of his architectural training and his business skills were developed through regular participation in business management seminars, international and national design workshops, and panel discussions at various forums, Gururaj has used his skills and drive to power a varied design career over the past 18 years. He has steered everything from workplace design, project and construction management, integrating engineering and technology into the workplace; and if that’s not enough, Guru has specialised in sustainable, green workplace design, and spearheaded innovative ideas to develop and use new products in workplace design and construction. He believes that by adopting new technologies, efficiencies will increase, and we can build smarter environments.
